About Boys to men

Boys To Men Mentoring began in San Diego California in 1996. Regional chapters are independantly run and each have thier own governing board. BTM USA is the organization that helps new chapters get started as well as assisting that the program maintains integrity and consistency from chapter to chapter. 

BTM has been running pilot programs in the San Francisco Bay area since 2015. In 2018, the San Francisco Bay Area chapter formed it's own board of directors with the vision supporting BTM programs in all of Northern CA. In 2020 the organization incorporates as a 501(c)(3) Not for Profit organization called Boys To Men Mentoring of Northern California. 

Our mission at BTM NorCal is to have mentoring programs operating in 50+ schools, serving 1,500+ boys and young men with weekly mentoring, nature outings, adventure sports and teen rites of passage EXPERIENCES by 2040. We also envision a career pipeline, assisting young men in gaining vocational education, apprenticeships and on the job training beginning in 10th grade.

BTM is a community effort and exists because of people like you who care about our Nation's boys and young men.
