Teen Rites of Passage experiences happen during Summer break for boys 14-17 years of age

Teen Rites of Passage Experiences

Teen Sojourn

Our week-long backpacking adventure challenges teenage boys to step beyond their comfort zones. This journey gives boys the opportunity to apply the life skills they've learned and acquire new tools for leading a life of purpose and meaning

The adventure includes challenges designed to empower boys to succeed in areas they find difficult. Graduates of the Sojourn frequently report a newfound confidence in themselves and believing they can accomplish anything.

This outing deepens ones connection with nature and helps the boys experience the interconnectedness of life.

The Sojourn is available for teens 14-17 years of age. We typically offer this experience to our eighth grade graduates.

Adventure Mountain Weekend

The adventure weekend is for boys to discover who they are in a deeper sense and find direction for their life. During the weekend the boys wrestle what it means to be a boy transitioning into being a young man. Teens learn what values they want to live by and what habits or barriers they have in living as their best self. Young men emerge with a zest to pursue their dreams and a desire to contribute to the society in which they live.

The Adventure Mountain Weekend is available for teen boys 13-17 years of age. We typically offer this experience to our ninth grade graduates.

Rites of Passage & Wilderness Skills

Although not a B2M program, we endorse the Headwaters Outdoor School for being dedicated to rites of passage week for teen boys for some 30 years. The school is located in Mt. Shasta California. The school is well established and specializes in teaching wilderness skills. This is a great experience for any boy 13-17 years of age. HWOS.com
