MENTORING PROGRAMS
In School and After School Mentorship Circles - These mentorship circles meet each week of the school year to help teens build self-esteem, learn to trust, have healthy dialogue about important subjects, experience peer to peer support and gather tools for facing life's many challenges and difficulties. See the webpage on School Programs for more information.
Adventure Mentorship - We provide day, weekend and week-long field trips that are fun and engaging. Some adventures include kayaking, backpacking, rock climbing, archery, wilderness skills, mountain biking and nature exploration. These outings are designed to keep the boys engaged in an environment that supports natural mentorship, cooperation and team building. At Boys To Men we believe it is vitally important that boys have time away from screens to connect with each other and nature by participating in outdoor activities. See the webpage on Adventure Mentorship for more information.
Community Sports Programs - Our community sports programs create an environment where boys can learn cooperation through healthy competition. Mentorship naturally happens through coaching and camaraderie. See the webpage on Community Sports Programs for more information.
Teen Rites of Passage - A crucial component of becoming an adult, often overlooked in modern society, is supporting boys in their transition to manhood. Across cultures and throughout history, rites of passage and coming-of-age ceremonies have played a vital role in this process. Boys to Men is reintroducing these experiences to our communities.
B2M offers two types of Rites of Passage experiences: the Teen Sojourn, a week-long backpacking adventure in the Sierra Mountains, and the Teen Adventure Mountain Weekend, held at the Boys to Men Ranch in Southern California. Visit our Teen Rites of Passage webpage for more information.
