Event: November 9th, 2025 | Grass Valley, CA
Location: Silver Springs HS, Grass Valley CA
Beneficiary: Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Northern California (501c3)
Entry Fee: $25 (includes t-shirt and poster, non-refundable)
Minimum Fundraising: $500 in pledges required to be eligible for prizes and guarantee a spot on the day of the competition
Age Requirement: 10+ (minors need parent/guardian consent)
Contest Structure: This is a skill-based basketball shooting competition. Participants have 14 minutes to attempt 100 shots from designated court positions. Winners determined by shots made and fundraising performance.
Fundraising & Prize Requirements:
To qualify for prizes, participants must:
Attend the event on November 9th, 2025 at their designated shooting time.
Attempt the 100 Hoop Challenge by remaining on the court for the duration of the contest and attempting shots to the best of participant's ability.
Raise at least $500 in donations through the Pledgit app. Higher fundraising levels unlock access to better prize categories.
Entry Tier ($500+): Lower tier prizes (e.g. Sponsor donated prizes, small-mid size gift certificates)
Mid Tier ($1,000+): Mid tier prizes (e.g. Evolution basketballs, large gift certificates)
Top Tier ($2,000+): Top tier prizes (e.g. Warriors & Kings game tickets)
Performance Prizes: Participants who meet fundraising requirements are eligible for performance prizes (e.g. most shots made, shot category winners, age-group winners)
Important: Prizes are not guaranteed and depend on performance, fundraising results, sponsor donations and availability. Organization reserves right to substitute prizes of equal value.
Anticipated Participants: Approximately 50
Expected Winners: Approximately 50% of participants expected to win prizes
Judging Method: Objective scoring based on shots made and fundraising totals
Tie-Breaking: Participant who signed up first wins a tie-breaker
Fundraising: You must collect and submit $500+ in pledges by October 26th, 2025. You are responsible for collecting donor payment information through the Pledgit application. A personal Pledgit page will be configured for each participant after registration is complete.
Conduct: Respectful behavior required. Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification without refund.
Health & Safety: You participate at your own risk. Consult a physician if you have medical conditions that may be affected by physical activity.
Assumption of Risk: Basketball activities involve injury risk from physical exertion and contact with other people, equipment and playing surfaces. You voluntarily assume all risks.
Release: You release Boys to Men NorCal, organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and venue from claims, damages, or injuries arising from participation.
About the Organization: Boys to Men Mentoring Network of Northern California, INC is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 85-2680157). Funds raised support youth mentorship, outdoor and sports programs, and family assistance in Northern California.
Tax Information: California charitable registration information available at www.boystomennorcal.org. Financial statements available upon request.
Weather/Cancellation: Event may be postponed/canceled for weather or safety. Registration fees refunded minus processing costs if canceled.
Photography: Activities may be photographed/recorded for promotional use. Participation constitutes consent.
Refunds: Registration fees generally non-refundable except for medical emergencies or event cancellation.
Governing Law: California law governs these terms. Disputes resolved in Nevada County, California courts.
Changes: Terms may be updated with email notification to participants.
